Sussex is the most prolific wine region in the UK, boasting the most highly acclaimed vineyards and several international award winning sparkling wines, including those of Wiston and Nyetimber both a short drive from the Estate. Many of the vineyards offer wine tours and taskings and are also within easy reach of the estate.
The nearest beaches of Lancing, Shoreham and Worthing are a mere 20-minute drive from the Estate. Within 35 minutes, you can reach Brighton in one direction and the seaside town of Littlehampton in the other. Littlehampton has a long stretch of sandy beach and is the setting of ‘Wicked Little Letters’, the 2024 film featuring Olivia Colman and Jesse Buckley.
The closest village is Ashurst and the nearest town is Steyning. The towns of Arundel and Petworth, notable for Arundel Castle and Petworth House are also a short drive away and they also offer plenty of tempting boutique shopping opportunities. Honeybridge Estate is well situated for visits to Goodwood in Chichester, which hosts a variety of events including the renowned motorsports Festival of Speed in July, horse flat racing events known as Glorious Goodwood in August and the Revival vintage car races in September. Goodwood also offers trial flying lessons in a range of vintage and modern aircraft.
We look forward to sharing our local knowledge with you, including recommendations of local pubs, restaurants, wineries and farms to visit, all to enhance your appreciation of West Sussex, beyond the Estate itself.
